I've had my c450 since early December and we are loving it. Last year we suffered through the Propane drought and paid through the nose. This year we haven't had to order propane once. We keep the thermostat at 60 degreen F, but as long as the fire is going we usually enjoy 70 degrees of heat. New to woodburning, but have learned a lot from this site. Thanks all! I included a pic of our energy history from our Nest thermostat.

450 is a solid medium sized performer. If this was installed in an exterior chimney fireplace you might want to look at insulating your fireplace to keep those BTU's in the house.
