I think a few of you guys have some panels?

I just wanted to pick some skulls a bit.

I'm considering picking up a kit for around $8000 which is a 3.8kw array (16 panels) and an inverter. I figure add another $300 for wiring and misc stuff.

I did some online figuring and that size panel with the sun we get would take care of about 70% of my electric use. It would pay itself off in about 5 years if I don't factor in any tax refunds I may be able to get.
