Dragged in some wood for a cold front that came in and found a bunch of these pieces. Heavy wood.

I'm not sure, need to see an end, preferably fresh cut. If its greenish yellow when fresh and yellowish when dry then it should be BL

Top pic looks like BL. It may jus be my phone but the bottom pic looks too light to be locust
 
Not seeing BL here.
 
My original thought was ash due to color of the wood. The bark is not like ash I normally see though. The ridges are flattened with square ends, and are deep. Looks alot like Black Walnut bark, but it is not Black Walnut. I will split a piece and post a pic today.
