Stove Pipe Oval to Round Connector on Defiant

And yes, it is out of alignment. That's why I'm going to try to use some rope gasket to fill the gap and see how it works. Worst case I'll buy a new adaptor. This is par for the course with this install. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do the install per my insurance company. So now I'm finding surprises as I look closer at things. I have a feeling that in the end I'll have redone a good portion of the install. How would the insurance company look at that?
 
I put some robe gasket between the inner and outer walls and also put the flat gasket over the rim of the oval opening. It fit snuggly. No more gap. I'll check it again in a couple weeks and see if there's any build up there.
