Where's the correct place to put the stove top thermometer on an englander nc 30? I have a condar probe for stove pipe temps on doublewall pipe and an IR gun to check stove top temps , i've only had a few test fires but have noticed the temps measured center of the top step plate near the stove pipe is usually 50 - 75 degrees cooler than the lower center step plate .
