Does anyone know if a pellet stove would be eligible for a some kind of tax break or credit? They use a renewable resource and recycled materials after all.

    So far ..no

According to our financial accountant, pellet stoves cannot be claimed
because they technically do not conserve energy like insulation and
better windows, they are considered an energy alternative.

The Senate passed that Foreclosure Bill in which the Maine Senators had put in $300 for pellet stoves and a one year extension of the energy tax incentive. We need the House to pass it now.
