Dropped off at dealer this morning and asked a few questions and got a few answers. . . This saw is a Pro saw. Looked to be built around '92. Todays' equivilent is a 353. About the bar brake not locking in. . . completely jammed with petrified saw dust as well as the brake assembly missing. Not starting and running right.... they will make adjustments as well as reset the needle valves. Hopefully not costing too much, pre estamate $75 should get back within 2 weeks.
Thanks to this website and to all advise, comments, and such for advising me on how to be SAFE with the fireplace as well as the tools that will make this winter more enjoyable then ever before!! Made appointment for chimney cleaning Wed. morning too!
