Harman and Englander (and a few others)...you are except from this conversation because you made a better mousetrap.

All of you other freestanders with units that have a stove mounted on the pedestal, take a few moments to remove the ash drawer and see how your pedestal is attached. Tighten bolts and reseal the union where they meet with some stove cement. If you are drawing air from in here you might get something that looks like this...

You mean they just didn't do an uneven application of stove bright and I need to be concerned?
