begreen, would the T5 roast us out of there? I had thought this stove and Cumberland Gap were too large. Re: your other point: The flue will be at least 10ft. Does that sound sufficient to you?

Lots of factors are involved that would determine the fit. The T5 will burn fairly well with just a few splits, so it depends on the cabin environment. How cold will the cabin be when unoccupied? What seasons will you be using it in? How much glass in the cabin? What is well insulated? How tall are the ceilings?

10 ft is not sufficient. This is a common issue with small, one-story buildings. If the chimney is not straight up from the stove, there will be even more poor burning issues with a too short chimney.
