Considering a pellet boiler in the future so was looking at winners on vestaawards.com which led me to this site: http://blog.woodboilers.com/search/label/Show Us Your Woodpile Contest. The link doesn't appear to be working, so copy and paste the entire URL.

To the winner goes a $8,200 tarm gasifier. Pretty nice.

thanks for posting churchie. Yes, the winner will win a Tarm Solo Innova wood boiler. We have lots of good entries so far and more continue to come in. We are drawing the winner on Earth Day 2010.

Some creative stuff so far - a stand of live trees and a thousand cords of log length at a lumber yard may earn a special "Wise A#%" award! Some artsy stuff too with ice covered wood, holzhausen, etc. The plan is to choose nine total winners (one boiler for grand prize only) and create a poster. We will sell the poster with all the proceeds going to a local fuel assistance charity that we have supported in the past.

Great idea and I'll look for the calendar. To state the obvious, some folks may bend the rules a little (e.g. taking a picture of a chalet with great stacks while on vacation in Switzerland).

Since there is a charity angle on this, maybe you could ask one of the moderators here to make a stickie in the wood shed forum. A couple years ago we raised funds for Corie to install a couple wood burners for needy folks in Pennsylvania.
