Got at the jobsite around 8:00am, had it limbed and topped by 9:00, and on the ground, bucked up and loaded by 10:00.
Saved the double trunk top in 12' sections for making poles for my future wood shed. I'm going to take a crack at hand-hewing them into 6x6" or 6x8" posts. I'll need 10 total posts for the shed, I have three more pines to cut on Wednesday evening that will give me three more logs for posts (we were going to do them this afternoon but some other things came up), that will put me at 5 posts. Only 5 more to get by next spring.
limbs off, getting ready to climb and top the double trunk
tops off, and trunk rigged to bring down.....
Double trunk ready to drop, and pics of it on the ground with the "poles" taken off.....
Clean-up finished, stump cut flush, all waiting to be hauled out....
