Tree ID please

Hi all
New here and looking to find out what kind of tree this is.
While out on our walk today in Pepperell, Massachusetts we seen this tree alongside the road.
It was the only one. It has a top part that looks like a birch tree but the bottom is different.
There are no leaves yet so it is hard to identify it by that method.
I posted about it in my local Facebook groups and some people say it is a Poplar and others say Birch or hybrid.
