woke up to the alarm/radio this morning and caught the tailend of the weather and I could have swore I heard the weatherman say "......3 to 6 inches by Saturday night...."...so we went downstairs, turned on the news and yep, they confirmed it......just a tad early I think, but looking forward to it!!...lol....guess I better bring another load into the basement cause it's gonna be a wet swamp out back for a couple of days!

They are calling for 6-10" in the Susquehanna valley.... Still leaves on the trees. I have not yet been able to get all of the downed trees cleaned up from the tropical storms.....

We have a good 5" on the ground and getting maybe another 3". Jotul up to 500' and wood stacked under hearth and on front porch. Yes I'm ready.
  20. Flatbedford Minister of Fire

Crazy. Forecast calls for 5-8 in the Lower Hudson Valley. I have some wood on the front porch and my tractor cart is loaded in the shed. Front blade and chains are on the tractor. I was hoping to mow the lawn on Sunday! This is gonna be messy with wet, heavy snow falling on trees that still have most of their leaves! Fireview has been going nonstop since Thursday night ans will continue for the foreseeable future. Looks like we are all gonna burn some wood early this season.
