My mother in law owns 40 acres that i usually scrounge on. I say scrounge because i don't take anything except downed limbs and trees off her property. Well i stopped over Saturday to work on her point well and the neighbor stops over, he farms her ground. He tells me he's been cleaning her ditch banks and piling the wood up for me. I went over today and have some work cut out for me. Wide variety, sassafras, maple, cherry, red oak, burr oak. He's a hell of a guy, doing alot of work. I think a case of diet coke in order. Plus he's still clearing

That's a great surprise - will the weather hold for you to get it split and stacked? Cheers!

Actually hoping for some snow and cold to move in. Ground has been pretty wet this fall. As i headed out this afternoon the lane was starting to mud up.

Great to have some help like that. For sure some frost will help you out. We're getting some but not sure how long it will last as warmer weather is headed east again.

Yes - I keep thinking we are finally getting a good ground freeze, but 2 days later, the ground is sloppy again. It's coming. Was hoping you'd be able to get at it before a lot of snow hits. Cheers!
