What are fines and Clinkers??

Reading the posts I just never knew what a clinker is or what a fine is... Can you please let me know.. Thanks..
 
fines are the sawdust stuff in a bag of pellets. basically, everything that's not a pellet in the bag.

clinkers are generally formed from non-wood products (glues, dust, dirt, etc) that get into the pellets and do not burn properly in the burn pot. They make the hard 'clinker' chunk of solid ash in the burn pot.
