It apparently has an 8 inch exhaust.

It's for sale on craigslist for a decent price and my wife loves the look.

It looks like a Jotul 8.

Could this work with a 6 inch duct 30 feet long? How much wood does this use compared to an EPA stove? Any way to improve it? Thanks!

There are several models of the Jotul 8. I'm wondering if this is one of the catalytic variations. Don't have time to check right now, but that would be worth finding out.

It should have a stamp on it. Tells you everything you want to know. My first insert was a old slammer, it had a stamp with make ,model, date of manufacture-1983

Can you ask the seller to look on the back for the UL tag. It should have the model number on it. Look for something like 8 TDC. Also, if the bypass is on the upper left side, then it should be a model 8, on the right, it would be an 8 TDC.

Was sold to someone else. Man, I'm disappointed. And it's getting colder out! Thanks for all your help guys.

Dan

Sorry to hear that Dan. This is now getting into the heating season. Good stoves will go very quickly.
