What kind of maple is this?

Looks like free firewood to me. May not be the best, but you cant beat free.

I'm not familiar with Rocky Mountain maple. Looking at description it's described as a small tree.
Pic in post #14 depicts large tree, plus the bark looks like Sycamore maple: VT Dendro sycamore maple
Hey CincyBurner, I think you nailed it with sycamore maple! I looked at your link and some other searches on sycamore maple and looks as close as possible to me. Rocky Mountain maple I am familiar with and we do have that around but it is much smaller and more shrub like with much smoother bark. Thanks all for the responses. Firewood wise, sounds like low to mid btu stuff?
