In order to try to get some moisture out of the wetland I call my basement, (Thanks Irene and Lee.) I fired up the 30 down there. It wasn't an easy start with the warm weather, but I threw an entire Super Cedar in there and had the draft going in a jiffy. The basement doesn't need 75K btu when it is 70 degrees outside. A 650 degree stove makes it pretty uncomfortable down there.

Matt

It may be hot, but it will make for some good drying. Try to move the hot air out. It will carry the extra moisture with it.

Good luck with that Matt.

Hmm, think that would work with the 6,000 gallons I have in my basement now? The pump is going to take another 12 hours and that's if it doesn't rain any more! No rain for 3 weeks straight in August and now 12 inches in 3 days.

Good luck,,,,we also got hit hard in NJ,,,,,was lucky my basement stayed dry...runnin the stove with fans is a good idea....
