Feeling the Heat

Post on CL 4mi off my commute. Decided just to stop by with only an address. It was even noodled down well and about a cord total... but certainly not oak. With the rain the smell was a dead giveaway.

Luckily I was looking for a little more maple for one rack. Hope this is red? I grabbed a few full length pieces, most was butchered between 12-14". This is why I prefer cutting my own logs.

Jeez. I'll never figure out how some of these folks come up with the species they list on CL.
