Hello pellet stove experts! Would like an education on glass replacement. My center glass has crack in left corner. Local glass place has ceramic glass in stock or can order tempered glass rated at 1100 degrees. The tempered is much less expensive. Couldn't find a temp rating anywhere for my stove. What do yall think?

Never use tempered glass, always ceramic. Yes it is more expensive, probably the tempered would work unless you really got your pellet stove cooking hard. Do you really want to take chances on something that could burn down your home and family?

    Ceramic all the way.

No need to run the risk. IMO

How did it crack in the first place? Heat??

yes go with the correct replacement glass. a Whitfield turned up on high makes way to much heat for tempered glass. most pelletsove parts places can get the parts at a savings
