Why Ponderosa Pine Sucks......

    This is less than 1/3 of what I burned today from our acre and we are not done raking yet. This is only the winter shed and this goes on year round. I wish I could cut them all down and have fir trees, but it is what it is.

    I'm with you I hate pines! But, we have a clump of them up the hill and the turkeys love them so they will stay.

    Mix them with some fresh cut grass
    start a big compost pile :)
    I mix leaves & grass and get great compost :)

    Does not work with Ponderosa Pine needles, they are too acidic

    We have White Pines, I use them on the trails in the woods in certain areas.
