Wood furnace safety heat dump vent

    Do any folks use the safety heat dump vents on their wood furances? One place has them for @100
    it is a 14"x14" vent that has a heat fuse that open the vent door at 350. I have a normal vent in my Plenum
    that I keep open all the time 6x 10. I had not thought to much about untill we lost power Tuesday.
