I just bought a Jotul C550 Rockland wood insert.Im installing it in a existing old masonary fireplace.I have 1'' clearance between the sides of the firebox and the fireplace.the side of the fireplace is 10'' thick then there is a wooden stud.Is this stud too close to the firebox? If so what should I do? What are the correct clearances?

Thanks,Glenn Archer
