For the experts among you.
Can anybody educate me and tell me what species this almost paper white wood is? I have no clue.

Looks like silver maple..... Got any pics of the bark? Bark is long and scaley.....
 
Looks a bit like poplar, could be maple .pics of twigs or branch??
 
Silver Maple maybe. Could also be Hackberry.
 
Looks like the poplar I've been burning cords of this winter.
 
Hard Maple
 
Not poplar. At least not anything like the kind we've got around here.
 
How is that going? Never burned poplar before.
It burns.......... More comparable to pine than any other hardwood I've burned, I wouldn't go out of my way for the stuff but it makes heat.

I would say Silver Maple based on the photos, but hard to tell.
 
Im going to agree with silver maple.
 
Also agree with some kind of maple. Need end grain, bark, open split pics on at least a few pieces to really give a good identification. One piece can really be odd.
