In The Woods
Went up and started splitting the aspen, after about ten minutes it poured so hard I was soaked so I decided I would stay. After splitting the aspen I went over to some narly old sugar maple and the MTD 20 ton had all it could do splitting some of the bigger rounds but it did the job, the wife brought lunch plus the truck then I hauled two loads down (all cherry) and filled the truck then went back up and grabbed a partial third load of cherry and called it a day on the splitting.

The wife came back and grabbed the truck then took it home and I hauled the partial load of Cherry home and stacked all of it.

The area the truck is in what we call the bowl, it's the one area that needs a lot of work. Downed pines, beech, maple plus smaller branches that need chipping.

f3cbboy thanks.

Zap, the way the weather is I was tempted to cut wood yesterday or go hunting. Had to put on an extra shirt. It was chilly. 44 this morning.

Sav it's cooling down here also, 48 tonight so the Liberty will have it's first fire of the year.

It's got to get cooler than that before we light the fire. It was 44 this morning here. Tonight is not supposed to be so cold and warm tomorrow.
