Today I grabbed the Cherry & Sugar Maple, both mother nature felled. :cheese: It was another day spent on the side of a hill, split everything then carried it to the trailer. Two loads of Cherry went to the GMC then one full load of Sugar Maple which filled the truck, I had a second load of Sugar Maple I went back for which I trailered to the house.

Looks like Friday will be a stacking day then Saturday will be back in the woods.

Pic 0482 was how I found the cherry on 3/20/2010 but Mother Nature put it on the ground,4446 is getting ready for the day,4450 is the second load of cherry to the truck (about a 5-7 minute run),4451 is the Sugar Maple,4453 after splitting the rounds,4455 is the truck full,4457 is the chuck for the day and the last pic is why I used the round for the chuck.

Zap, your killing me. Second day of gray gloomy skies here with a little light rain. Can't cut, split, or stack too dang muddy. Need Dave to send down some of that chilly air. Lol....

Nice job on the pics, I can see working on the hills has more dangers for sure! :)

Good work zap and you don't even have to slip and slide in the snow. How much longer can we go without snow?

We had some rain last night but today was about 37, looks like splitting & stacking tomorrow.

bogydave, that was the first time I used the maul welllllllllllllllllll I can't remember, it does split the rounds with ease, it's the carrying the splits up the hill that was a killer.

Sav, three more cord then let it rip, I think they are calling for about one inch of snow tonight. Saturday I'll be up in that same area to grab the downed beech. Attached are a couple of pictures of the trails we used today, I think it's pretty dry for all the rain we've had.
