    Scored a free downed tree from a friend Looks to have had some uninvited guests, but most is fine. I bucked it up, brought it home, and began splitting it. Light color, straight grain, not extremely heavy, not evergreen. Here is a picture. It has a very distinct odor, but I have no idea what it is! Probably have 25-30 18" pieces. Not bad for free.

    I agree with Cottonwood,definitely want to split it as soon as possible since they hold a lot of water.
