a 3 yr. old starts removing their clothes and says "Me hot!"

It is 80 degrees in here - think I added a little more wood than needed? :) :) :)

    Cute.

If that 3 year old opens the freezer door. Throws a blanket over top and decides to camp out there, it may be abit too hot inside.

The 3 yr. old is our grand-daughter. Our son is here with her - he's the one threatening to stand in front of the open refrigerator door. :)

He is also one of those who said, "Mom, you can't heat your house with a little ol' wood stove."

    Revenge is sooooo sweet! :)

    Nice Shari.

That little girl just showed one of our thermometers! When the females start removing clothing, you know the temperature is right! We'll leave out the "Me hot" part though.

You know its hot inside when... the refrigerator never shuts off.

I'm yet to hit a high enough temp. for the sixteen year old female in our house. She stops complaining around 80*. Prefers 600* stove heat hitting her in the face.

I wonder if a 84 degree living room would get her hot. I open windows about that temp.

I was also thinking of females shedding layers, only not 3 y.o. grand daughters.

Yeah... I was dripping sweat the other night...

I've been having trouble controlling my fires (I think I have too much draft and it's drawing too much secondary air). The other night I got a fire going in my KozyHeat, and with the primary air completely closed I had temps of 870 on the cast door frame, and 980 on the glass. The room temp made it up to 97 degrees as I was blowing air on the fireplace to cool it down while I decided if I needed to quickly open the door and kill the fire. I decided to keep blowing air to keep the fireplace cooled off as much as possible (warming the room even more), because the fire was at it's peak before I realized how hot it was.

That's when you know it's hot in there.

You can fix these pretty easily . . . take some Viagra, crush them up and sprinkle them over the candles . . . they'll perk up in no time . . . however, if they stay up for more than 4-6 hours you may need to consult a candlemaker. ;) :)

I really enjoyed all these posts! too funny!

As a little update: we're now into our 2nd week and the furnace still doesn't
work. Got the part but turned out to be defective...so now we wait for another.
The best part?....we're still decently cozy and not one broken pipe even though it's gotten
to be down to 15* once in awhile.

    yep....LOVE my woodburner! :)
