I have a 10-CPM pellet stove and it has been stopping the feed of pellets at random. When it does it if I open the hopper and close it it will often start feeding again. Does it sound like I have a bad hopper switch? Is there a way to wire the thing together and just get rid of the switch completely?

That's what it sounds like. You can temporarily jump the switch out of the circuit to test. I wouldn't leave it that way, however.

So just take the two wires and put them together correct? I thought I had tried that once, but after a time the stove would always stop feeding pellets, but I will try it again.

if your path through the stove and exhaust vent is clogged up it may be shutting off from lack of vacuum.
