$100/kWh battery price acheived! Sort of/maybe

This may be a temporary solution. It looks like several of the majors (VW, Toyota) are going to solid-state batteries in the near future.
 
As technology progresses, it's all a temporary solution. Eventually people will end up walking again using sun grown food as fuel.

Too bad the Tesla Powerwalls don't reflect this price, if they were anywhere close to $100/kwh I'd have one in the basement.

I only saw Toyota's announcement about Solid State. I remain skeptical of both SS battery tech AND Toyota's motives (as Lithium later adopters).
