Can either one of these stoves work without the base. I looked at there inserts and they manual says you need 36 inches across. I think it's because of the controller. Because the insert back part is only 21 inches.
If I was to use a regular 55 I can just put it in the fire palace 12 inches. With no base. It measures 26 inches across.
