Might have waited a bit too long, pretty warm out to be busting the stove's chops on pellets but it has to be done to rid the stove and venting of the nitric vapor. Wife will just have to have all the windows open I guess......
Installed the new burn pot today as well. Had to do some fitting as the new one's rear flange was a might too wide. Nothing the 15" disc sander couldn't handle however. Got the old one soaking in water. Once it's free of any deposits I'll fire up the Inver Tig and fix the crack. Whoever welded the new one did a bang up job. Nice TIG welds, not stacked dimes but good penetration and no spatter whatsoever. I always appreciate looking at and applying good secure welds. Good welds make a job, bad welds show like a sore thumb.
I have 3 ton of pellets and 4 ton of corn in the barn, shrink wrapped and stacked on pallets, 4 high.
