I have purchased a P23 Breckwell and want to vent it by going up about 4' in the house and then through the wall. The exterior of the wall is vinyl sided. How far out should the vent stick out from the wall to avoid damage or staining? It is on the front of the house so I don't want it to stick out any more than needed. I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and didn't really get any firm answers. Anyone with experience with this type of venting...I would really appreciate your opinions/stories. Thank you. You should extend the vent out 18 inches. You could also use a vinyl siding protector.
