I picked up my add-on last night. My ? Is. Would it be better to install it closser to the door that the wood will come through or closser to my LP furnace that the duct work will go to? The door is about 25-30ft away from the LP furnace.

I would suggest locating it closer to the furnace with a focus on keeping the connector piping shorter. If you can post some pictures of the existing system so that we can see the trunk duct layout and where the stove pipe connects to the chimney, that would help. What model did you get, Norseman 2500 or the Hotblast 1557M? Can you add your furnace make and model to your signature?

Begreen is right, keep it close. Some of the woodfurnace's with the small openings in the top already have small blowers. The farther away the woodfurnace is from the central furnace, the greater loss of flow and heat. Make sure to follow ducting clearances specified in the manual and use backdraft dampers if required to keep good flow into the ductwork.

I did get the norseman 2500 and it even came with the cold air/filter box. Ill take a pic or 2 latter today. its still on my trailer wife could not pick one side up. Good thing for friends and walk-outs. Lol
