You could take the high limit switch off and clean it. Do you think the stove is actually getting too hot? On some of those switches if they trip they need to be reset.Doyou need to reset the switch, and what fault are you getting?

'Hi limit sensor. Evident when stove is extremely hot and the light above “B” is flashing. Allow stove to cool for 1 hour and restart"

Which board do you have old ABC board or newer 4 button board? Are you getting a ERR 1 code or just coming back to a stove that shut down. Over heat button are auto reset on the 6039 if original. The two common ways of overheating is exhaust path is partially blocked or the room blower is failing. First thing to do as clean the stove and vent. Does room blower need a cleaning the fins in the squirrel cage can become plugged with dust and hair. After that it is a matter of watching stove to see if room blower is failing or stove is not ramping down and staying on 5. High limit switches (snap disc) can go bad but not very often. High limit switch is the bottom switch on the left side Picture is a 6041 but High and low switches are in the same place on the 6039. You could remove switch and inspect it I have had switches fall apart upon removal. My 6039 heat range goes from 1-9 I can not run on 9 for more then 15 minutes without it hitting high limit, HR 8 sometimes even trips switch if I am burning corn or corn mix.

I replaced the high limit switch before it over heated, blows decent heat, exhaust blower blows has a Humm not sure which blower motor is louder. Have pellet at 3 and blower at 8 and run wood pellet cherry pit

Cherry pits run hot. That said how do you know stove overheated did you see the red light above the B while shutting down? When you replaced the high limit switch did you use a 250-40 switch. Some sites try to sell you a 170-20 high limit for this stove.

Yes B light is on and flashing, like I said previously it ran for a good 15 hrs before anything tripped and only did after I turned setting down. I have majority wood pellet maybe 10 percent cherry pit since they run abit hotter..probably just gonna start replacing blowers and the motherboard stoves got age against it

When you turn the heat setting down, does the room blower run at the same speed or drop way down?

I was looking at the wiring diagram and it looks like a very simple control.
1. Can you repeat the problem, but measure the temperature of the stove to see the actual temperature go up
2. Since there is no real temperature control, just settings, the board might be bad.
3.Make sure the room blower stays running at the same speed during the test.
4.Watch the flame to see if it get bigger

If it is not the room fan plugged or failing then I would say the board is bad. If you are not burning cherry pits or not setting stove on heat setting 5 then lowering it does it go into shutdown?

You could try to reset board.
RESET TO FACTORY-HOLD IN B & C UNTIL P1 APPEARS. USE THE HEAT RANGE ARROW
INCREASE TO P9 AND PRESS THE ON BUTTON- THE UNIT WILL TURN OFF THE BOARD
WILL BE RESET.
