You could take the high limit switch off and clean it. Do you think the stove is actually getting too hot? On some of those switches if they trip they need to be reset.Doyou need to reset the switch, and what fault are you getting?

'Hi limit sensor. Evident when stove is extremely hot and the light above “B” is flashing. Allow stove to cool for 1 hour and restart"

Which board do you have old ABC board or newer 4 button board? Are you getting a ERR 1 code or just coming back to a stove that shut down. Over heat button are auto reset on the 6039 if original. The two common ways of overheating is exhaust path is partially blocked or the room blower is failing. First thing to do as clean the stove and vent. Does room blower need a cleaning the fins in the squirrel cage can become plugged with dust and hair. After that it is a matter of watching stove to see if room blower is failing or stove is not ramping down and staying on 5. High limit switches (snap disc) can go bad but not very often. High limit switch is the bottom switch on the left side Picture is a 6041 but High and low switches are in the same place on the 6039. You could remove switch and inspect it I have had switches fall apart upon removal. My 6039 heat range goes from 1-9 I can not run on 9 for more then 15 minutes without it hitting high limit, HR 8 sometimes even trips switch if I am burning corn or corn mix.
