Looks to be an interior chimney. Appears fire started around a wood stove. No other details on the install. I feel sad for the family, nice looking place too. Thankfully again no one was hurt.

That is always a sad thing to see. Maybe sadder on Christmas Eve. Good thing the family escaped.
 
Hard to watch, knowing you can't do anything at that point.
 
I saw that on channel 5 sad to watch.
