There seem to be a million threads on the Mt. Vernon freight train with no satisfying solutions. However frequently there is mention of a "fix" from quadrafire that consisted of tin baffle that went inside the ash pan drawer? Does anyone have any pictures of this? Or know if it's still obtainable?

Did it work?

The freight train noise is usually due to too much fuel in pot. kap

I noticed it's dependent on that as a factor... But it's only about 25% of what other quadrafire stoves run. And it's on the lowest setting. It should be able to handle it.

It's been so long since i installed any of those, i can't remember if they worked or not. kap
