Anyone have and auger jam from leaving the stove outside for a months in the New England weather?

This Whitfield Profile 20 was tarped and left outside for a few months.
The auger motor died with the set screw towards the bottom and the auger jammed up solid from pellets getting moisture and then hardening around it. So I had to chip them out with a hammer and screw driver. The auger also had a lot of rust on it from leaving the stove outside for a months in the New England weather!
The convection blower had to be removed to get at the set screw for the auger motor. Then the motor came off and the bolts to the auger end plate and auger came right out.
The auger cleaned up with a wire wheel on a drill by using it before and after sand blasting with white aluminum oxide?
Has anyone else done this?

Note to self; if you’re cold they’re cold. bring in your stove.

I think he was conducting one of those accelerated aging tests to verify it will last for 30 years indoors

It was not my stove and the guy that had it went full bore and purchased a Harman P68 with Nickel Trim Kit and scenic tile and a Harman P61a and a Harman P38 !!!
So I picked it up and brought it on from the cold to put into Mechanical Intensive care to recessitate it and give it some TLC. 😄

I would say by the look of the auger it's going to look brand new. I have seen some amazing restorations on utube. Guys get a hold of something that was buried for 100 years, and somehow make it look brand new.

Keep the old Whit going Don- let us know the outcome. Stay warm.
