are graphite impregnated door gaskets better then plain fiberglass

I used white fiberglass door gaskets and found in 5 months of use they got very brittle. I am hoping that the graphite ones will be better. I saw bronze door gaskets but it did not say what made them bronze. I saw black ones figured they had graphite but the package did not say
