I've recently been having some issues with a Quadrafire Castile pellet stove (installed 2019). My current assumption is there's an issue with the auger or something else in the feed path. It has become common for me to hit the reset button during a burn cycle because the fire begins to go out before the room temperature hits the thermostat set point. I was trying to keep an eye on it this morning when I first turned it on for the day. Bumped the thermostat temperature up a few degrees and the red call light came on. Pellets began feeding and they ignited shortly after as they should. The green light on the control panel then came on about a minute later. Pellets continue feeding, but it seems inconsistent. I can hear what I think is the auger motor about every 5 seconds. Sometimes I will hear the auger motor activate 2 or 3 times in a row without seeing any pellets drop into the pot. After about four minutes, the green light on the control panel turned off and the red light turned on. After about another four minutes, the fire size became small and almost went out. I was getting ready to hit the reset button, when a large amount of pellets dropped down and got the fire going again. I then saw the green light come on again. It came on about 11 minutes after the green light initially turned off (8:28 - green light first turns on, 8:32 - green light off and red light on, 8:43 - green light on again). After the green light came on again, I don't think I could hear the auger motor anymore. At 8:45, I hit the reset button because the fire was almost completely out. At this time, the thermostat was reading 65 degrees, and the set point was 67 degrees. Pellets began dropping again, and the fire picked up. Pellet feed seemed inconsistent from that point on, but I didn't have to hit the reset button again. But the fire did almost go out again after that, but picked up again with a decent size pellet drop. I stopped watching it after that and it looked like it completed a heat cycle, with the room temperature getting to 69 degrees.

If anyone has thoughts on what the issue may be, I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.

Thank you.

Sounds like the stove and exhaust need a good clean out. It will not drop pellets if the fire on start up does not get the thermocouple hot enough to turn on the red led in the control box. Which may be a cause of low air flow through the stove. Give it a good clean out then let us know how things work😎
