I have England model 25-PDVC/55-SHP10 manufactured in 11/03. Been running for 2 years with no problems. The bottom 3 buttons are currently set on 6 4 1. I've never had to mess with these before but believe they got screwed up. I set them to this after reading threads. The auger doesn't seem to be pushing enough pellets out tho and my fire is burning out. Then when it does push out it fills with pellets the ashes are already burnt out causing it to just push pellets out and fill the little tray to fill and not burn. I'm at wits end trying to figure this out. Sorry if another thread is out there for this. Thank you in advance for any help

6 - 4 - 1 should be enough to sustain a fire. Did the restrictor plate in the hopper (If equipped) get moved?

Is the auger turning consistently at regular intervals? The bottom one should turn constantly the top one should cycle on and off. Possibly your set screw on the auger is loose and its slipping?

Have you cleaned out the hopper and auger yet to see if theres something causing the incocistancy? Have you changed pellet brands or noticed any diff in the length of the pellets? Maybe they are much longer than what you have normally been burning? Causing them not to feed the same.

You didn't say if the fire was burning actively during startup. You also didn't say what was displayed on the control panel during the failed startup, or if the stove shut down by itself at the end of this failed startup (approximate times are useful diagnotic tools). There isn't much information in your request.
I'm going to offer a hypothesis that it is taking too long for the stove temperature to reach the proof of fire temperature. At about 20 minutes (plus or minus five minutes) the stove will stop feeding pellets if the temperature isn't high enough. In your case the fire didn't burn hot enough to raise the temperature and then got smothered by the pellets. The stove then shut down.
Possible causes are;
  • Air leaks into the stove bypass the firepot causing slow burning
  • Ash clogged vent passages (inside or outside the stove)
  • Partially obstructed igniter hole
  • Dirt and scale on the igniter rod
  • Clogged ports in the firepot bottom plate
  • A bad combustion blower
There may be more, but these are what came to mind first.

Hey guys. Yes I've taken all pellets out and cleaned it real good also making sure nothing was stuck. It would fire up and work for about 20-30 mins before going out. I finally got an email back from England. They told me setting should be on 6 9 1. So far I've had a fire going for an hour. Thought for a min it was gonna out but it finally sparked back up. I appreciate all your responses. Happy to have found this website. Have found some helpful information

Seems wierd needing the low air maxed out but if thats what they say then there must be a reason..

If it still seems to not feed enough just bump up the lff one setting at a time or drop the air until you get a consistant feed. Run it at each setting atleast 20 minutes or more during testing

Thank you. I'll try this if I still have the problem.
