how does the straight handle end work in slippery conditions? can you hold onto it ok?
I am partial to my ancient canoe long handle light headed axe, and the fiskars stuff.

Never used it in the rain so I can't answer that. I can hold onto it great. The handle is worn in and black from my crusty hands. Has a nice grip imo
