After much procrastanation and looking at just about every make and model of pellet stove under the sun, we are the proud new owners of a Quadrafire Classic Bay insert.

It actually was our 2nd choice as the Harmon dealer could not guarantee an Acctenura until "maybe" January and probably later. Cannot wait that long.

Installation will be in September.

I purchased the Quadrafire at a dealer in Saratoga Spring, NY about 30 miles from me. ( actually everything is 30 miles from me Glens Fall Ny, Manchester VT BenningtonVt, I'm kinda a 30 mile guy.) All have Pellet Stove dealers but Saratoga masonry and Fireplace was most helpful. I paid $3800 includes complete delivery and install.

Now the downside they charge $310 per ton for pellets plus $70 delivery (ouch). :gulp:
Now for the upside, I got home and got online and found out that my local hardware store sells pellets (2miles)...I never knew that and nor do the have any signage to indicate this. Anyway...Instaheat pellets are $245 per ton and they have 2.5 tons , so I bought them. Delivery charge $7.00 (yes seven!!) and to put them away for me?? that would cost a whopping $13.00 (thirteen) dollars to stack the in my basement garage (insert happy dance here!) :-)

Wow! 20 buck to deliver AND stack in the basement? that alone is worth the high cost of pellets. and you got a better deal on those also good score! (wonder if they will come deliver and stack my firewood).

I ordered the same stove last weekend.it will be about $4600 installed.i get my pellets from a local guy that gets them by the tractor trailer loads.$225 a ton and he lives 2 miles from my house and 1/4 mile from my job.i got a date of Aug. 30th for install,i hope the stove comes in ontime would make me feel alot better.well good luck all.just think it could snow in like 120 days.lol
