It's tough to get much in where mine is without removing screws. I tip it the right way and put a serious dose of 3-in-1 in there and just hope that some hits the sweet spot.

-pH- lubricatin' his sweet spot.

Lubrication is like religion - everyone has their favorite, data showing one is better than the other is marginal at best, non existent at worst - and no amount of debate really changes any opinions.

With that said, most blowers I've seen from the past ~20 years or so have sealed 'lifetime' bearings. They run until the bearings fail and the lifetime is over - get a new bearing. If you don't have one of those, and actually need the lube - I would think a few drops of most anything lubricating would work fine. Motor oil of your choice, 3-in-1, sewing machine oil, etc. (someone will also chime in with Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobile 1, etc)

The other caution is most people don't think about lube until the fan starts making noise or worse, seizes up. By then it's pretty much too late. You can squeeze a little more time out of it, but really just beating a dead (or dying) horse at that point.

Baby seal oil works the best. Its tough to get though - ya really gotta squeeze 'em real hard.

Might be able to find you some seal oil up here in Canada. Perhaps you would consider Right Whale blubber instead - no package to leak - just warm and drip.

Snicker - snicker.....We really should stop hijacking this thread though. (My apologies)

Now Back TO: What lube do YOU use??

Opinions???

Did you clean it out the blower first, the reason I ask is my local hearth store wants me to clean out our blower on the Liberty first. He thinks this will take care of the noise we have.
