i am in my second season of use with a big e pellet stove worked flawlessly last winter and earlier this season too. last few days the air coming out of heater is cool air and seems exhaust air is hotter than normal. any ideas would be greatly appreciated

How is the volume of air coming out into the room?

You probably need to clean the convection air blower and screen (if applicable). Make sure that blower turns freely and is up to speed. Sounds like you're not removing the heat with the heat exchanger.

When is the last time you did a complete cleaning - including both blowers, heat exchanger, venting, ash traps, etc.?
