My Acutron control board from an old Danson 120 shop heater pellet stove blew up. Pelpro (which now owns Danson) sells control boards for well over $300. Is there a market for used ones or is there a way to have the board repaired? Is it possible to use a generic or non-proprietary board?

Yes, I corresponded with them. I repaired my own Quadrafire Mt. Vernon control board:

So does this pcb fuse have any identification stamped on it 2,3,4amp superfast blow, fast blow, slow blow? Id like to order some but im not paying $13 for an .80 fuse. I have accounts at mouser and digikey 
Sorry for the late reply. I just received the fuse and replaced it.
That was the problem, It now works! Diagnosis correct!
I had to use a jeweler's Lupe to see the markings, but slvrblkk is correct, it's a 1.5 amp, 250v Pico fuse.
If anyone can source these on digikey or mouser, please post a link and save the rest of our members even more cash.
I was elated to be able to fix my control board, even for $12 for a $1.00 part. I figure that I'm up $250.

They have these on Ebay for roughly $1 each depending on the vendor. Apparently, these were an "issue" of sorts in Nintendo and such gaming consoles.

So I did a little search on ebay and indeed you can get an equivalent fuse for much less than what I paid.
This is the closest to the original and has the opaque green color (20 for $3.74 from Hong Kong):

I will say that the original link that I posted (even though I paid $13 for ONE fuse) was an EXACT replacement, and I'm still very happy to have my stove working again and not get screwed over buying a new control box for $266-$466. Also, it arrived in only a few days, whereas if you order from Hong Kong or China you're going to be waiting a month to get your stove fixed.
It pisses me off that they manufacture this stuff knowing that people are going to be buying a new control board when the problem is a part that costs pennies. No information whatsoever about this little fuse in the owners manual. That's why I posted this information here, to save the common folks like us some hard earned dough.
Hopefully this will save a bunch of good folks who are just trying to stay warm a lot of money.
