I feel like I may be asking a silly question, but here goes.

I want to test a used pellet stove that I recently acquired , after it was moved and before I install it.

Can I just take it outside and let it run without any pipes hooked up. Or do I have to hook up some sort of exhaust pipe to the back, so that (____ insert whatever___ ) doesn't happen?

Thanks.

I would say you just need to make sure the intake and exhaust are not going to be overblown by the wind..other than that and making sure is in a wide open space, why not?

If I'm not mistaken, that is how you are supposed to perform the initial burn of a new stove. ? So should be good to go.
