So I change out vac hose on my 07 Mt.Vernon no big deal,Worked just fine.So I figure might as well change or blow out the hose on the 09 stove. I take hose off and there's a little saw dust on the end.I blow out hose and put back on turn stove on get error vacuum switch code.Wtf R U kidding me all I did was clean out hose.So I bypass switch with a jumper and it's all good. How could cleaning out the vac hose cause the switch to go bad just like that?WELL that's a mystery to me .

That's a real bummer ????

Is it a vacuum or pressure switch ???

Remove the switch and connect a VOM to it and try a little suck and blow (Gentle by mouth to avoid damage to switch) and watch the readings on the meter

See if you can get the thing to work as it may have stuck, or you just got lucky as to when it died

Murphy is hard at work:)Check and clean the port into the stove too?

New vac switch and good to go.I did try the old vac switch on the other stove and it came up with same code so I knew for sure that's what it was.

Dissected old vac switch and all it is a rubber diaphragm with a mechanical metal arm.Original was all metal casing,New one is plastic. For $62.00 they are making a killing on this part that probably cost $20.00 to make..

$20 is real high:)

Yea ya think 110% profit. At least the old one was made in US not sure if new one is.

I think they now make the Santa FE in China:( so you have a very high chance of the part is from there now.
