Quick question, when cleaning out the cats (which clog more frequently than the manual says) do you need to replace the cotter pin? I've already found you don't need to bend it, just shove it in and leave straight. My guess it that it's only useful for shipping purposes. Any other guesses out there? And yes, the wood is fully seasoned, 2 year old Silver Maple and Bur Oak, meter checked.
